The thing about job interviews is – they’re for the candidate too. You’re not there to talk someone into giving you a job. You’re there to decide if the job is right for you. Asking questions is a big way to do that. Four questions I like to ask:
- What do you like and dislike about working here?
- In this position, will most communication be in person, by phone, or by email?
- In an average day, what will the person in this job spend most of their time doing?
- What would a good first year in this job look like? What would be accomplished?
