Self-coaching: Money

In American culture, we talk about money in a few, highly specific ways. You might tell someone what you paid for your house, but you don’t mention your salary. You can possibly talk about the price of a dress if you bought it on sale, but a few people will sneer at you anyway. You definitely can’t talk about the price of a dress if you paid full price.

We’re not much better at thinking about money. We tangle it up with so many other things. Safety. Security. Meaning.

Three money questions:

1) Do you make enough money? How can you tell that you do/don’t? What does enough actually mean to you?

2) Is it possible to earn enough money in your chosen career path?

3) Do you deal with money the same way your parents did? Do you believe the same things about money?
